Holiday Village NJ Parks & Grounds: A Trail-Map Tour of Our Shared Backyard
Picture the map that's hung on the clubhouse corkboard for decades — the loop path traced in pencil, every pond labeled by a longtime resident who's walked it a thousand times. That's the spirit of this site: a guided look at the parks and grounds shared by Holiday Village and Holiday Village East, two adjoining not-for-profit active-adult 55+ communities in Mount Laurel, Burlington County, New Jersey.
Two Communities, One Builder, One Neighborly Feel
Holiday Village (HV) and Holiday Village East (HVE) sit side by side, each its own not-for-profit association with its own trustees and clubhouse — but both were built by J.S. Hovnanian & Sons, which is part of why the grounds feel like one continuous story rather than two separate developments.
HV came first, built in the mid-1980s and reported at roughly 711 homes — single-family, patio, and condominium — centered at 1 Holiday Blvd in Mount Laurel. Holiday Village East followed as a later phase by the same builder, largely constructed between 1990 and 2001, and totals roughly 963 units across single-family homes, patio homes, and condominiums. Together, the two communities' grounds add up to a lot of shared outdoor life for residents of both.
What's Out on the Grounds
Between the two clubhouses, residents have access to a heated saltwater pool and a separate outdoor pool, tennis courts, bocce and shuffleboard courts, a fitness center at each clubhouse, a billiards room, a putting green, horseshoes, and walking paths that thread past garden-like common grounds. HVE alone counts twelve lakes where fishing is allowed, and HV has its own lakes for the same. The Ponds Are the Landmarks

On the old corkboard map, the ponds are the easiest way to find yourself — every loop of the walking path circles at least one, and fishing is allowed on the lakes at both communities. They're less a single amenity than the landmarks the whole layout is drawn around.
